How TikTok Has Changed the Way We Speak, Forever

Maggie: January 18th, 2017 was a dark day for humanity. The demise of Vine. But in its place rose a new empire – TikTok. It grew quickly taking over the everyday speech of civilians. Humanity now faces this question; do we fight it or succumb to its lordship? 
Areej: At this point, I think we’ve already succumbed. 

The Real Roach Lives of Martyr’s Court

It was my first night in Martyrs Court Jogues, the integrated science learning community. After a long day of exploring campus and having information thrown at me, there was nothing more that I wanted to do than take a shower. I got all ready, put my soap and shampoo in a shower caddy, and pulled the bathroom curtain to the side. Staring up at me was one of the most dreaded organisms that could be prowling through a living space: a roach.

As people, we are always watching, constantly viewing and consuming the world around us. However, it’s even more interesting to watch people in real life instead of virtually, but not in the Joe Goldberg sort of every-step-you-take type of stalking. It’s more about observing the human experience.

And, to be fair, the Jesuit University of New York© provides lots of ammunition for its students, who can often be quite creative about their critiques, due to those fine Jesuit values imparted by the Core Curriculum.
